Greenwich Local Labour and Business (GLLaB) was set up in 1996 as the Council’s Employment and Job Brokerage Service. It is the mechanism which links local people to employment and training opportunities. For over 20 years, GLLaB has established itself as one of the leading local labour schemes in the country, delivering Employment and skills support Programmes to support residents of the borough into sustainable employment.

GLLaB is now recruiting to a range of roles, to support the delivery of an exciting new project called Restart

Restart is a government scheme which aims to give Universal Credit claimants who have been out of work for at least 12 months, enhanced support to get into work.  GLLaB will be delivering Restart to support the residents of Royal Greenwich.

Restart is a time limited programme and dependent on income generated from external funding, on a Payment by Results model. The programme will help unemployed individuals to get back into sustainable work, through job outcome focused support, tailored to the individuals’ needs.

We are looking for people to deliver a high-quality service to residents through the effective delivery of GLLaB’s externally funded programmes. We are recruiting for multiple roles for a newly created team delivering the DWP funded ‘Restart’ programme, as part of the national “Plan for Jobs”, commencing in June 2021 to 2024/25, in response to the Covid-19 pandemic and impact on the labour market.

*All roles will be on a 2-year Fixed Term Contract
