Voluntary Role Vacancy:
Royal Greenwich Shared Lives are seeking a new Chairperson for the Royal Greenwich Shared Lives Approval Panel. The vacancy is a voluntary role with a minimum commitment of 18 months.
Meetings take place four times a year. Each meeting will be 1-2 hours long and will be held in Woolwich. Panel papers are sent out to the Panel Chair and all members at least a week beforehand and need to be read ahead of time for the meeting.
Royal Greenwich Shared Lives Approval Panel
The role of the panel is to consider the applications and assessments for all people wishing to become Shared Lives carers, as well as the re-approval of current shared lives carers. The aim of the panel process is to ensure that our selection of Shared Lives carers is fair and transparent and that we have comprehensively assessed and evidenced that the applicant has sufficient skills, experience and knowledge to fulfil the role of Shared Lives carer. We are also seeking to evidence that the applicant understands the values and principles of Shared Lives and will offer person centered, family based care and support to our service users.
