The Corporate Debt Team currently has vacancies for Finance Officers. This is an exciting opportunity to join a knowledgeable team responsible for the issue and collection of the Council’s sundry debts.

We are recruiting one permanent officer and one 12 month fixed term contract/secondment.

The successful candidates will be responsible for undertaking a variety of tasks in connection with the raising and collection of debt along with the maintenance of records in accordance with financial procedures.  We would be interested to hear from candidates who:

 

  • have experience of working in a financial environment
  • have experience of debt recovery
  • have excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • have a desire to provide excellent customer service and assist those in financial difficulties
  • possess strong IT skills
  • can work independently, accurately and meet deadlines
