An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in the Royal Borough of Greenwich Integrated Community Learning Disabilities Services. We are looking for an experienced, autonomous and highly motivated leader who wants to influence practice and develop integrated working.

The Royal Borough Greenwich recognises that a more co-ordinated approach is required to develop a fully integrated model of care for people with learning disabilities. Service users should thus be offered, wherever possible, one integrated assessment process, one main contact person, one care plan and one review process – including combined documentation, universally agreed aligned eligibility criteria and integrated information systems. The aim of this joint post is to develop and promote this transformational change in the Learning Disabilities service to improve the experience for those who using the service and their family and carers.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone experienced in managing services for people with Learning Disabilities & Complex Care Need. It is a highly important position that will not only oversee the delivery of existing services but will also be responsible for the transformation of services. This role will have overall operational responsibility for the quality, staffing, and expenditure and development of Community Learning Disability Services.

The post-holder will have overall responsibility for the effective and safe delivery of all operational services across the borough of Greenwich for the effective delivery of services against a range of key performance indicators in line with the key business objectives of both RBG and Oxleas NHS Trust.

As Head of Service you will have full operational responsibilities for business and effective clinical performance for the Community Learning Disability by delivering strong and sustained service improvements, focusing on delivering excellent Health and Social care across the Learning Disabilities services.

You will need to be able to demonstrate excellent management and leadership to ensure Service User outcomes are being achieved. You will provide excellent leadership to the Multi-Disciplinary Team being leading by example in regards to excellent communication and be able to be transparent with your team and making sure the service users are fully engaged.
