You will receive a comprehensive induction into the requirements of the role and care staff will be expected to complete the 15 Care Certificate standards within 6 months as part of their probationary period. 

 

We are seeking to fill the following vacancies: - 

 

Senior Support workers- x1 Full time post: 35hrs per week, Grade PO1 £38’364- £40’833 

 

We are looking for a Senior Support Worker to join GLO, you will each work across two homes.  

You will assist the Operations Manager and Assistant Operations Manager to work as part of a strong team. You will be a role model to others by demonstrating excellent support to those in our care and you will assist the Operations Manager and the Assistant Operations Manager to develop and support the staff teams effectively.   

 

You also will be required to oversee and support staff with the preparation, planning and delivery of group and one-to-one social, and recreational activities with residents. 

 

 You will offer support in providing holistic care and participation in activities.  Energy, excellent communication, and good organisational skills are vital to this role.  You will need to be a team player, motivated, enthusiastic, and able to build positive relationships whilst also challenging any poor practices. 

 

As a Senior Support Worker, you will be required to enable and empower whilst ensuring the highest standard of care is maintained in accordance with Royal Greenwich Council and Greenwich Living Options policies, procedures and CQC Fundamental Standards and by adopting a person-centred approach that fosters self-awareness, personal growth and gives each person the strongest voice with regards to decision making and lifestyle choices.
