Teaching Assistant 34 hours a week – (45-minute unpaid lunch daily).

 

Grade 2, Scale 3 to 4 £22,219.84 to £22,555.19 (Salary range depending on experience)

You must have GCSE level or equivalent, spoken and written English.

You must have experience of working/being with very young children OR a keen interest in Child Development and Childhood.

 

Permanent contract – (subject to probationary period)

Start date: March/April 2025.

 

  • We are looking for a caring, motivated and responsible Teaching Assistant to join our experienced Nursery School team.

 

  • You will be working with 2, 3 and 4 year olds.

 

  • The job involves supporting children in their play, working within a nursery class including supporting children with additional needs. The role also includes supervision of children at lunchtimes.

 

  • The nursery has a strong ethos of inclusion and a tradition of valuing all children and their individual interests.

 

The successful candidate will have:

 

  • A high expectation of children’s learning and development and a strong commitment to teamwork.
  • Experience of working or being with children under 5 years old OR an interest in Child Development and childhood
  • A professional and warm approach in their interactions with children, families and staff.
  • A positive and enquiring attitude to their own professional development.
