Business Services Team Leader (Parking) PO3
About Us
Our Greenwich Plan sets out our vision for the next 4 years focusing on the changes we collectively want to see in our borough and Council. We want to become a more strategic, efficient and adaptive organisation, to deliver for our communities. Our workforce is key to making this happen.
Royal Greenwich is a borough synonymous with first class modern services. Our vibrant, diverse communities span Greenwich town centre in the west, to Thamesmead in the east, from the Greenwich Peninsula in the north to Eltham in the south. Royal Greenwich has a reputation for combining ambition with delivery. We are on a journey towards a low carbon future and the sustainability agenda will influence all areas of the Council’s work.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping the Council’s ambitions for our future transport network, implement high-profile schemes and maintain a strong grip on the delivery of key projects.
To be successful in this post you will be as comfortable with strategy as you are with leading large operations. You will need to bring energy, tenacity and strong communication skills. You will thrive on data and evaluation to evidence and inform delivery and service improvements.
Above all, you’ll be committed to delivering an efficient, well-connected network that our residents love – with a carbon footprint that we can be proud of, as well as delivering the councils Transport Strategy.
About the Role
To work as the Team Leader for the Business Services and Performance Function within Parking. To provide leadership and management to a team of four Senior Parking Officers delivering a complex and diverse range of services to the Transport Senior Management Team, stakeholders, and residents.
To also be responsible for financial reconciliation and performance, high level correspondence and contacts, routine contract management, data release and management, along with ad-hoc customer interactions.
To support the Business Services and Performance Manager in critical contract-related and tasks. In all cases you will be expected to deputise up the head of service level and to do tasks commensurate with your role
About You
We are looking for an energetic and competent Team Leader with experience of leading by example, managing performance and handling large volumes of correspondence. You will have a good understanding of the range of services provided by Parking Services and the regulations/legislation that the service operates within. Knowledge of the statutory PCN process is a must and the ability to achieve performance objectives is also expected.
You will be an excellent communicator, who understands the Councils complaint and FoI process/procedures and is able to draft complex responses.
