About the Role

You will be supporting and helping to improve our public highway, leading a small team of Highway Inspectors. You will audit and provide quality assurance whilst ensuring safety inspection routes are up to date and optimised and provide resilience for highway inspections in order to meet the Authority’s Statutory Duty.

You will respond to enquiries from Risk Management and Insurance regarding insurance claims, along with casework and general enquiries. In addition to this, you will help to implement new highway improvement schemes and traffic management schemes.

About You

We are looking for a strong leader, with great communication skills and a good level of technical knowledge in highway maintenance, repair, and inspections.

You will manage team performance and have a current working understanding of national and local standards, techniques, and technical procedures. Proficient in the use of a range of MS Office programmes, you will also be able to use GIS/Symology or similar software.
